Blooming Oundle is a voluntary project that aims to dust off the Covid cobwebs, spruce the place up and give everyone something to enjoy especially in the summer months.
The project which is now well underway was initiated by Oundle Business Association and local environmental organisation, Transition Oundle. It aims to encourage a ‘can do’ attitude in our community… to fix the things we can fix, to take responsibility for improving the public spaces on our doorstep and to connect more people with what is growing around them. Its overarching objectives are to improve the experience and environment for those who visit, live or work in the town.
Have you seen the planters at the town entrances and the barrel planters in the centre? These are part of Blooming Oundle’s efforts. You can read more about the many other things they are doing at Transition Oundle and on their Facebook page. Well done to all involved – especially OBA committee member Camilla Sherwin who has spearheaded the group.
